There are many different ways you can access eBooks for fun and research.  The 'Virtual Resources A-Z' page on the VLC has direct links to quite a few eBooks (some free and some the school board has subscriptions that allow students to use them).

Some of the great eBooks sites you can access are:

Tumblebooks - animated, talking picture books - are available for use at all the Elementary Schools.

BookFLIX

Gale Virtual Reference Library and more!

We also have links to some great free sites for both french and english books (and other languages too).

Ask your friendly Learning Commons staff for help logging on.

Your local public library might also have a subscription to Tumblebooks and a database called OverDrive (a very large selection of new and popular eBooks and audiobooks) that you can download from home.  All you need is a library card.  Ask at your library for help.
