Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community and your school. Each school is different, so you would need to speak to your LCI (Learning Commons Informationist) to ask about volunteering but most LCIs' would love the help with shelving books. Also, you and the LCI would need to speak with your teacher and the school Principal about volunteering in the library.
