Hello, thank you for your question.

Teach them to follow a research template.  Start by asking, "What am I going to research?"  The students should find general information about a topic using a reference source such as Britannica Online.  The next step is to narrow down the research topic to one research question.  Using the research from their general information on the topic, find something specific that they would llike to know about.  If they are researching the country of Egypt for example, the could ask the specific question, "What is Egypt's economy based on?"  Now the student thinks about keywords to help in the search for information.  They could look at a dictionary, thesaurus or encyclopedia for words that can help to phrase the question they want to enter into the search engine.  Using a combination of keywords, enter a search question.
