Hello Brianna,

Thank you for your question. It certainly is an interesting topic and I have attached 2 links for you to find out about continental drift theory, which is more often referred to by scientists as plate tectonics theory. This is the theory that the earth's continents have drifted apart over millions of years and they will eventually drift back together in another 250 million years. This is a relatively new theory which has only been developed over the past 50 years.
