Good morning Kendall,

Different types of whales have different weights. For example, a killer whale can weigh between 3,000 to 12,000 pounds while an adult gray whale weighs about 39 tons.

For more information about this, check out our PowerKnowledge Resource - Life Science. It can be found on the VLC, just click on the "Games & Databases" tab and search for PowerKnowledge Life Science. This site is password protected. Please look in the Learning Commons for Wolford's username and password posted on the wall or pick up a VLC bookmark from the main library desk.

Thank you for using the VLC and for such an interesting question,

Ms. Parry, LCI
